1986 2-door GMC S-15 Jimmy: Driver door window switches fail intermittently. Mechanic wants to charge $145 for new master switch + $75 for 1/2 hr. labor. How do I know if this is “over-repair” to make extra bucks at my expense? Is it the Master Switch? New part for 25 yr. old car?

so far they replaced the catalytic converter, fuel pump, fuel filter, and cleaned fuel rail. Engine compression is 160 across all four cylinders. New plugs, coils and  igntion module. Could it be a sensor? vehicle has 70,000 miles and oil changed every 3,000  thanks.

how can i tell if my front wheel bearing is going bad

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix that makes noise when turning to the right or left. Its not a roaring noise like a wheel bearing , but more like a rubbing noise. It only makes the noise when I turn the wheel left or right. What could this be?

our 02 olds alero has major inside tire wear problems on the back tires and im not sure exactly if you treat it like a tie rod or bearing issue like you would in the front or not
