Vehicle stalls on deceleration. Computer codes are 14 and 66.
Auto mechanics tested computer and said it was transmission solenoid. Transmission mechanics said nothing wrong with solenoid. Original mechanics tested again and found nothing. Told me to take vehicle to ford dealership and pay them to test. Prior to stalling problem, had oil leak in oil sending unit. Replaced oil sender then when test drove it began to stall when coming to stop or slowing to turn. Friend recommended changing crank sensor, this made no difference.

P0171 – (1) Fuel system too lean bank 1 (Cly #1), large vacuum leak [I found a disconnected hose between valve cover (Cyl#1) and air intake], (2) Fuel system concern, (3) Ignition system concern, (4) MAF sensor faulty, (5) HO2S/AF ratio sensor fault.
P0453 – (1) Sensor circuit high voltage, (2) Open or short circuit condtion, (3) Poor electrical condition, (4) Faulty FTP sensor.
I don’t know where these sensors are located and whether I should change them out if other possible causes might produce the same errors. I found a hose disconnected between the valve cover at #1 Cyl and the air intake.
Can someone shed some light on what might be wrong and how I should proceed?
Julian
I looked for vacuum leaks and found a hose disconnected at the #1 Cyl valve cover. The other end was connected to the air intake cover. If I knew where the sensors in question are, I might be able to check the wiring and do some continuity and voltage checks.

Hello,
I have service engine soon light, CarMD diagnostic tool shows OBD P0130 & P0171. They have been on and off for about eight months now. Every 30-40 miles the SES disapears then shows up again after 30-40 miles. The car passed California smog test while the SES was off. The car fuel consumption is not that impacted.
Should I go ahead and fix it or just leave it? Thanks

The check engine light is on still after I replaced both bank 1 & 2 O2 sensors. Is there a bad fuse that is keeping the engine light on?

When I start my car It idles around 1,000 rpms and when it tries to go past 2,000 rpms it jolts till the check engine light comes on I did a home dianostic test and i got a crankshaft postion sensor and a purge solenoid and I was wondering what part would make it do that or if it could be both parts are going bad

Yesterday the Service Engine Soon light came on in my 2004 Chevy Blazer. I took it to Goodyear this morning for a diagnostic test and asked them also to change the oil since it has been a long time (since Sept. 09) since I did that. (I know my bad). The tech changed the oil, etc. and told me that the temp sensor was causing the error and I needed a new coolant temp sensor, thermostat & gasket, radiator hoses all replaced, coolant flush, radiator cap and decarb for almost $500. I had to be to work so I made an appointment for tomorrow morning. But as I drove away the light went out. Could it be all I needed was an oil change? Help please!

88 Bronco, Check engine light comes on and idle varies from 500 to 1500 rpm. frequently stalls acts like it wants to backfire but doesn’t. It happened a year ago but went away but is back. It did mostly through winter went away in spring but came back this spring. Acts like a short?
