will the head off of a 2000 pontiac sunfire 2.2 motor fit a 1998 chevy s-10 pickup with the same motor.

I have a 1986 lincoln town car that I am turning into a hotrod. Before I start making custom made bolt ons, I was wondering if there were any bolt ons from another car with the same moter that would hook up to my car. My engine is a windsor v8 5.0 302 cubic inch.

I have put a 4.25 stroke forged rotating assembly into a 30 over 454. When I received the block from the machine shop, they had painted the lifter valley with a grey graphite paint. ( they said this would aid in oil return). When I assembled the engine, I had trouble putting several of the lifters in the bores. Assuming the paint would quickly wear off shortly after initial fire up, I took no steps in cleaning the paint from t he bores. Unfortunately the engine is now complete and I have what appears to be a top end tick after 1500 RPM. In your experience, should I allow the engine to wear itself in or am I looking at a top end tear down to remove the paint from the bores?

I have a 1989 V1500 Jimmy, has a 5.7 non vortec head engine. added the comp cams 12-304-4 cam using my tbi set up. The only issue is when idleing the idle drops down and causes a stall or if I pull up to a light to stop it will stall, The engine light comes on showing egr issue, but egr is brand new……

hi i have just built an 1998 camaro engine with the v6 3.8 series 2 engine and i dont have oil pressure when i turn the motor over no plugs or coil wires pan full of oil. i need to know what to do i have not started the engine yet because i am afraid it wont build pressure and lock up. this oil pump is the gear type in the front cover driven by the crank. i have the filter full of oil and have put a mech. gauge in the sender hole with no avail. should i go ahead and crank the engine and get pressure from the rpms or what?? lost need knowledge……..pdt81@YAHOO.COM THANKS IN ADVANCE
