I have a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with 135,500 miles on the original motor and tranny.  There is a loud constant tap coming from around the passenger side valve cover, is this a rod getting ready to go, or is it a sticky valve or valve lifter?

i have a 97 honda civic with a b-16 a engine i got gas at a local 76 station got the car home a mile or 2 away and it died i tried to start it and it sounded like it was out of gas but it wasnt it also was spitting out alot of smoke whitish blue smoke,so i checked my plugs they have gas on them and checked them to see if they have spark they do i checked the rail/filter still good?so i turned to the gas i drained some out it is bright yellow?i went to the station it is also yellow so i dont know if conaco phillips uses yellow gas im not used to that.but my neighbor who also got gas from the station his car also died the same way.so i think its the gas if there is any input you could give me it would be much appreciated.im thinkin plugs wires filter new gas etc..cause it looks like the plugs were fouled out.so is there any input on the yellow gas lol thanks

i just installed a 89 chevy tbi in an 84 chevy crew cab. it has a very rough idle and is running very rich, shakes like heck under 1200 rpm. i have put a new regulator,iac vavle,plugs, wires, cap,o2 sesor in. it is not give any trouble codes

hi i have just built an 1998 camaro engine with the v6 3.8 series 2 engine and i dont have oil pressure when i turn the motor over no plugs or coil wires pan full of oil. i need to know what to do i have not started the engine yet because i am afraid it wont build pressure and lock up. this oil pump is the gear type in the front cover driven by the crank. i have the filter full of oil and have put a mech. gauge in the sender hole with no avail. should i go ahead and crank the engine and get pressure from the rpms or what?? lost need knowledge……..pdt81@YAHOO.COM THANKS IN ADVANCE

I have a 1996 dodge intrepid 3.3 liter. The car will quit running as if I turned the switch off when driving. It starts back up fine and it may be days or mins. before this happens again. The check engine light does not come on before during or after this. I would like to get your suggestions before i go spend 100s of dollars trying this or that to solve the problem. Thanks.

TSB 18-33-95 Erroneous Misfire OBDII DTC Codes – Software Update

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry LE with 206,000 miles on it and just had it break down on Friday night. We had it towed to my house and finally figured out the timing belt had broken. We bought a new tensioner, idler, timing belt, and water pump and my boyfriend installed it. He is pretty mechanically inclined but had no prior experience working on a Toyota. He finally got it running yesterday after having some problem getting the timing correct. However, after driving the car it doesn’t sound right to me. I have been driving this car for 9 years and know its sounds like my own heartbeat. It sounds right idling but when you press the accelerator it sounds like its louder and working harder than usual. It also seems to take longer to change gears and the rpms seem to be getting up higher before changing. It used to be hard to even hear it running. I’m concerned and my boyfriend is unsure what could be causing this change. Please help.

hi my name is Jason i have a 1995 chevy caprice classic and im having engine prblems when i hit the accelerator my  car goes 5,6,7 mph and at random moments has a boost of power and goes normal speed 80 – 100 mph  what would be the problem i changed the gas filter the spark plugs and nothing… if needed more info just ask
