I have a 2001 Ford Expedition that starts fine when the engine is cold but will not start when hot. However, if it is let to cool for about an hour it will start.

this car started fine when i purchased it and then at home.  a week ago i started it and let it run for a few minutes when i tried to move the steering wheel it stopped running. i tried to re start it but it would sputter and did not run again. i thought it was the fuel pump because it had been parked for over six months and low fuel. i changed the fuel pump, still did not start. changed the sending unit, still same problem, changed the fuel filter and spark plugs . still did not start. took it to a friends shop. he informed me that there is not fuel being delivered to the engine and there is no spark on the plugs. now the car has a bmw alarm i thought that was the problem and reprogramed the thing but it is still not working. all fuses have been checked and they are fine. the fuel filter is in the correct position and the fuel pump is working but there is no electricity coming to it. the car turns but does not start. all lights do work but the electric top does not work since the vehicle stopped starting.

what do you think can be the problem?  is there a cut off switch? could this be the problem? is it the computer? please help.

hi we have a 1999 dodge grand caravan 3 literthe serpentine belt went while driving home we drove it about 5 km before quit we put a new belt on and new spark plugs the van will start but won’t turn over we have an OBDII code # P2000 can you tell me what that means or what we can do to fix it

I have a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country with 3.3L V6. Have not had any real problems in the past. A few days ago, was driving on the highway. The vehicle began to lose power, the speedo guage surged randomly, the oil light came on, and the vehicle stalled. I have not been able to get it started since. Thought maybe the alternator went bad and drained the battery. Put new battery in to no avail. When the ignition switch is turned on, there is no click from the starter solenoid (also new), only the oil idiot light stays on (the oil level is fine). When trying to start, you can hear the relays engaging. Tried to swap the one for the starter, thats not it either. Engine code reader shows only an error trying to read them. Any ideas what to check next?.

I have a 1997 Ford Taurus and I just bought an alternator and a battery. The car started right up and ran for one day. The following day it started up but shut down completely and would not start back up.

After the AC technician finished AC repairs and recharge, the engine 3.3L  stopped running and a gas odor came from somewhere under the vehicle. Inspection of all gas lines showed no leaks. Fuel pump came on, but no fuel pressure present at the injectors. The scan tool showed a circuit problem with the No. 1 cylinder. Fuel filter is okay as well. Still no fuel present at the injector fuel rail.

I tried to start my 08 dodge caliber this morning and it made a clicking noise, I thought it would be the battery so i tried to jump it and that didn’t work either so whats wrong with it, any help starter maybe?

i have a 1998 f150 xlt with the 4.6l v8. yesterday i hooked up a new battery and it sparked more than usual but i didnt hook it up to the wrong sides or anything, so i dont know why it sparked. but now even if i change the battery my motor wont crank. everything else works except it wont crank and my radio diesnt work. so could i have shorted out the solenoid when the battery sparked? and a fuse to my radio may have shorted too? or could it be something else?

went to start vehicle starter clicked like battery was low, put charger on battery, now there is no power at all to vehicle no instruments brake lights or anything, slowly over the day the power prob got worse as i triedto start vehicle. no power windows locks or anything. over the course of the day the battery seemed to get worse , battery charger sez batt is charged, my friend thinks a relay, could this be and if so which one?
