This is a common issue with the electronic automatic transmissions. Making certain the transmission fluid level is full and still a normal pinkish/red color and not Black, if it is black then you have severe internal problems. But if the fluid is normal color than the most common problem is the electronic solenoids. You should be able to have the solenoids replaced and the transmission go back to normal. They can be access by removing the transmission pan, but I do not recommend doing it yourself unless you are a seasoned mechanic.
