1998 Honda Civic – Check Engine Light

I have a 1998 Honda Civic, when I put gas in it the check engine light came on I took it to auto zone and the code was P0135 What does that mean? I burned all the gas out and filled the take up with Shell gas and has replace the spark plug wires and spark plugs the light is still on what can I do?

    This has nothing to do with your fuel, so no worries there. New plugs and wires won’t hurt but not needed.

    The Heated part of the oxygen sensor is failing to do its job and causes the code PO135 to be stored. Replacing the Upstream Oxygen Sensor will fix the problem. (the upstream O2sensor is the one located before the catalytic converter)
