what would cause water to flood the combustion chambers and get in the oil pan on a 350 chevy marine engine?

  1. There are a couple of ways this can happen. But the most common way is head gasket failure. Another way is Intake gasket failure.
    Third and not so common: cracked block in one or more cylinder wall.
