92 chevy g20 van 350 wont restart after warm up

van starts fine, drive about 10 miles, check engine light comes on. After I shut it off takes forever to start again. have already replaced fuel filter,fuel pump relay, and throttle body sensor. What else can it be? the flash code is 44

If I had to guess out of the blew… 99% sure it is your ignition module in the distributor.

Ignition module works for me — if it gets too hot, it makes it tough to start. There should be a heat conducting gel under the module, I have no idea how long it is supposed to last, but it would be a quick and cheap fix if all you had to do was clean off the old gel and add some new stuff.
