I have been starting my truck up in the morning since it is 5 degrees. I let the truck run for about 30 min and when I get in I still have ice on windshield and the truck is blowing cold air. It does not seem to blow hot air until I start driving it. This is crazy! I have to actually scrape windshields before I can drive it to produce heat. Any recommendations?

My 2007 Ford SportTrac is not putting out heat
Keywords:No Heat
Could be a Stuck thermostat(stuck open, quite common) clogged heater(not so common) a radiator fan stuck on(not so common) or a failing water pump(wouldn’t think on a ’07.
Another possibility is the heater control valve(common also and most likely cause) it is vacuum operated and if it is loosing vacuum at the diaphragm it would explain needing to drive the vehicle before heat comes out.
