1989 chevy cavalier z24 NEED HELP!

First of all this car sat for almost a year with no windshield, but no major damages. I was going to give up on it when a guy kindly fixed it for me for the price of the parts. It ran great after that, it had a tune up and new battery. Well, one night after going to the store and back, i stupidly asked a friend to lock my ingition by turning it backwards– i believe he turned it forewards. the next morning, the ignition wasnt locked and the battery was dead. We hooked a charger up to it and it still wouldnt start.  there’s an electrical short causeing my car to die. Where would it be located?

  1. Probably just a bad battery. If you run a battery completely flat dead. It is difficult to get them to work again. I would start with replacing the battery.

  2. I used a 24volt battery charger and there is a little bit of juice holding to the battery. I did figure out that I have an electrical problem, but i don’t know exactly what or where. any ideas?
