i have a 1998 f150 xlt with the 4.6l v8. yesterday i hooked up a new battery and it sparked more than usual but i didnt hook it up to the wrong sides or anything, so i dont know why it sparked. but now even if i change the battery my motor wont crank. everything else works except it wont crank and my radio diesnt work. so could i have shorted out the solenoid when the battery sparked? and a fuse to my radio may have shorted too? or could it be something else?
Keywords:No Start
There is the possibility of a blown fuse(radio fuse), but not a shorted solenoid.
If you just changed the battery, you have a greater possibility that you did not hook all the wires back up. Recheck this.
