Ford Expedition will not start when engine hot

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition that starts fine when the engine is cold but will not start when hot. However, if it is let to cool for about an hour it will start.

    When you say “will not start” do you mean you turn the key to the “start” position and nothing happens??? it clicks once??? it clicks, clicks, clicks, clicks??? the engine spins over and over but not firing???
