FORD F250 HD

I have a 97 ford f250 7.5l gas, at. when climbing a hill and i stomp on the gas pedal the tranny will upshift but has no power. at this time the check engine light comes on. i have not had the codes checked as of yet. any ideas

    Have the codes checked first, This will lead us to the nature of the problem and help to guide us to what needs to be fixed.

    It may be as simple as a MAF Sensor, but i would hate to replace something that doesn’t need to be. Always best to scan the codes first. You can post the code back here and I will work with you to find out the issue.
