2000 Chevy Silverado don’t blow hot heat

My Silverado don’t blow hot heat, kinda warm. Changed thermostat and checked antifreeze is good. What do you think is the problem

  1. Once the engine is at operating temperature check to see if both heater hoses at the firewall are hot. This is how they should be…

If they are both hot then the most likely cause would be a failed “Blend Door Actuator”(hot/cold door) inside the dash. Switch it back to cold and then to hot and see if you can tell for sure that the temperature does change. If it doesn’t change at all, then its about a 90% chance that it is in fact a bad Actuator and will need to be replaced.

If the both hoses are not hot and the coolant level is full, you may still have an air pocket from changing the thermostat or a failing water pump.

If the engine does not get to normal operating temperature(180-200), then the thermostat is stuck open or missing.

  2. what about your heater core is it good?
ive heard of people placing the thermostat up side down before
