hi .have a Ford Windstar , i get very little heat . i recently changed the upper rad hose ..heat was fine after , then yesterday i was driving and had no heat , so i stopped , open the antifreeze bottle to let air pressure off , got back in the truck and heard a pop sound and no heat ever since . today i got it warmed up , and watched for the thermostat to open on the gauges and it didn’t show any difference in the temperature . there was a bit of heat but not much . could this mean the thermostat could be locked open … when i opened the bottle there was steam coming off the antifreeze .

YES. The thermostat is most likely stuck open and should be replaced.
