I have 97 Hyundai Elantra that was starting the one day just stopped the next.I think the battery is good, starter is good what else could it be? When you turn the key over it does nothing not even a sound but the wiper radio and everything else works.
Most likely reason is the battery is bad, just because the radio will come on doesn’t mean the battery is good.
A starter requires more juice(amperage) than anything else on the car.
Once you replace the battery or install a known good battery and the problem still exists. Make sure all battery connections are good. Now with someone holding the key in “start” position check for battery voltage on the “S” terminal on the starter. If you see battery voltage.. replace the starter.
If there is no voltage, trace the wiring back through the neutral switch and ignition switch.
