if you put gas in the carburetor it will start and run fine. go to start it later and just cranks. replaced fuel pressure regulator still wont start

First thing to check would be the spark plugs for fouling and to see if they need to be replaced.

Next check for the proper fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge when it won’t start. Lack of fuel pressure can keep an injector from firing.
Check the fuel pump relay.
A good test would be to cycle the key on and off 10 times before starting it. If it starts easier this way you may have an internal fuel pump leak causing the fuel pressure to bleed off.
