I have this 95 suburban 5.7L 4×4. Having a no start problem. I have changed the icm, computer w/chip, cap, rotor, plugs wires. and just to make sure i put a extra ground from block to frame. I do have spark at coil. oh starting fluid doesn’t work at all. But if you hold her to the floor she tries to start. I mean i guess she rolls over and dam near starts. This thing has this new style distributor and column. and old style computer and coil
Try hitting the fuel tank with a dead-blow hammer while somebody tries to start it. If it starts, replace the fuel pump.
You didn’t say if you had spark at the plugs. Also, check the resistance of the coil wire, then compare it to good specs. Had a Ford years ago that wouldn’t start because the coil wire had too much resistance. Kept a spare one in the glove box. Also check the rear of he intake manifold for red Dex-cool leaks. You might be sucking too much air into the system.
