My first thought would be that you are installing a Starter form purchased from Autozone or you used an re-manufactured starter. Over the last 20 years I can almost count on an Autozone Starter or alternator to only last 3 to 6 months. They do have a life time warranty and stand behind it, but they don’t have to walk when it doesn’t work either. (just my opinion)
I recommend Installing a New from the dealer Starter.
