Flashing latterly light came on dash. Eventually the veh died so I replaced the alternator with a rebuilt one. Battery light and the emergency light would flash on dash. Changed the battery and now only a solid battery light is illuminated on the dash. Any idea. Could the rebuilt alternator be not functional?.

If the battery light is on, then the alternator is not charging. You can use a volt meter to check for charging at the battery with the engine running. You may also want to make sure all you connections were plugged in when you replace the alternator… it can happen.
