First try spraying WD-40 in the key hole and wiggle the key vigorously up and down while trying to turn the key. May take a minute or two. But if it works, well worth the effort. If it doesn’t free it up enough to turn the key then you are left with no choice. Drill Time!
I have found that using a drill and a good Cobalt or Carbide Drill bit comes in handy.
Drill the center of the key cylinder out and then you should be able to depress the lock cylinder retaining tab on the bottom of the lock housing and remove key cylinder.
