2006 ford f450

what causes engine oil to become overfull on a 6.4 diesel. also a lot of blue smoke out of exhaust during regen process. No coolant in oil.

  1. Your oil level can become overfull in 3 different ways.
    1) Coolant – intake gaskets, cracked cylinder walls, busted radiator if equipped with an internal oil cooler
    2) Transmission Fluid – busted radiator if equipped with an internal oil cooler
    3) Fuel – Fuel Injector Sticking or Stuck Open. Leaking fuel into cylinder can wash out rings and fill oil pan and contaminate oil. Usually will cause blue smoke as well. (Most Common)
