I had a check engine light come on my vehicle and they put it on the computer and I am getting a whole bunch of codes, some include: P0116,P0121,P2440,P1818,P0131,P0014,P0054,P0101, ect. Would you know why all these codes are showing up and what I will have to get fixed? Thanks in advance!
P0116 – Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0121 – Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch ‘A’ Circuit Range/Performance
P2440 – Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve Stuck Open
P1818 – Transmission Neutral Safety Switch Short Circuit To Battery
P0131 – O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0014 Chevrolet – Exhaust Camshaft Position System Performance
P0054 Chevrolet – HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0101 Chevrolet – Mass Air Flow Sensor Performance
Lot of codes to be stored in there. Couple of thoughts.
If the battery voltage was low or the battery was weak it is possible for the ECM to get some false readings and trigger all of these codes.
Also possible the ECM needs to be flashed with some updated parameters.
My first approach to this issue if it came into my shop would be to charge the battery, clear the codes and test drive it to see if any of the codes returned.
