1999 GMC Sierra K1500 SLE 4×4

Was hard to turn left unless RPM’s were up, I installed a new power steering pump, still have same problem, any suggestions?

  1. Jack the truck up and start the engine and see if it is still hard to turn left. If not, most likely cause would be oversized wheels and tires, install factory size.

Still hard to turn left. Disconnect one side of the steering tie rod ends and test. Repeat if the issue is still present. Most likely cause would be a binding upper or lower ball joint. With the tie rod loose, see if you can move the wheel from side to side by hand. If not, you know this is the problem side.
