oil light came on and engine sounds like it will blow up. what is the cause? please respond a.s.a.p.

    First thing to check would be the oil level. If the oil level is low you will need to add oil and check for large oil leaks and repair as needed.

    If the oil level is full, you will need to make sure the oil filter is not clogged and if it is OK, replace the oil pump.

    You need a minimum of 10 psi of oil pressure for every 1,000 rpm.
