If this is the kind of key that has the chip in it. 90% of the time this is caused from the connection wires inside the steering column break and no longer make contact with the key.
Check all fuses first.
That said, Reset:
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Insert ignition key and turn it to the “ON” position.
3. Reconnect battery cable.
4. Move ignition key from “ON” to “START”
If it will not start, Check the theft deterrent relay then check the connections inside the ignition key switch. Check the tiny wires for breaks inside the steering column.
