I have a 2000 Ford exploring that has a slow engine crank. called AAA to check out the battery and when they ran the test I was told my alternator, battery and starter are all perfect but they did need to replace the clamps. the gauge that shows the alternator level is like 1/2 inch from the L and when I start the car the needle is on the L. What could be wrong?

Replace the battery. It may test OK, but like you said, it cranks slow. This usually happens in colder weather but if the battery is even close to 4 years old, Replace it and all should be well once more.
