i have a 03 taurus wagon that has thick white smoke coming from tail pipe with a sweet smell yet sometimes like rubber.it does it everytime i start the car but if i drive for about 30 and get the car to regular temp then it seems to be ok.also after car gets to regular temp i can let it sit for 10 15 minutes and it may or not produce the white smoke depending on the tempature.but it never reaches more than the halfway point.so its not over heating i dont not see leaking fluids and no smoke comes from under hood car doesnt backfire or misfire but it does feel a little hesitant sometimes due to a vaccum leak i was told from autozone

This is a perfect description of a blown head gasket and/or intake gasket.

You can watch your coolant level to give you an idea of just how bad it is but it will get worse. One thing you may want to try before you go replacing the gaskets is “Barr’s Stop Leak” Pelletized. Its less than $5. I have used this on a few vehicles in my time with great success. I highly recommend trying it first. Just add it to your radiator and top off the coolant level and drive it like normal.
