There is a tag on top of the transmission that you are looking for.It is located by the shifter cable. It has all the information that you need.the first number in the left upper corner is the model number.the right hand upper corner is the GM id number. Under that number is XXXXX GM part number and the calibration code.the bottom numbers are for the production date, mode ,assembly line code and the AW production unit number. That should do it. You can also call your local GM parts house and give them the vehicle ID number(the one in the corner of the windshield) and they can tell you which transmission you have.
