Do I have to torque my back drum brakes on an 01 Ford Focus SE? I do not have a torque wrench I would have to buy one, so i am looking for a way around it.
If you are just doing a rear brake job you do not remove the brake drum by itself, remove the 4 spindle bolts from the back. If the drum is already off….well you are kinda stuck. Not a bad idea to have a torque wrench in the tool box anyway.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Make sure the wheel speed sensor ring (if equipped) is not knocked or damaged and is kept free from metallic fragments when installing the hub assembly.
CAUTION: Rotate the hub assembly in the opposite direction when tightening the hub retaining nut.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
235 Nm = 173.3 Foot-Pound (ft.lb)
