Intermittent transmission slipping. No evidence of water/fluid cross contamination. Changed Trans filter. Worked good for one day then intermittent again. Problem appeared suddenly.

Was the fluid burnt looking when you changed the filter? if it was, it may need to be rebuilt.
If the fluid looked good, may be a shift solenoid hanging up or a Speed Sensor failing. May want to have a transmission shop pull any codes it may have stored in the computer.
