I replaced the dpfe sensor to get rid of a trouble code. After I replaced it I started the truck and it was lugging real bad. I read after that I was supposed to disconnect the negative battery terminal, would that be the problem? Does the computer need to reset or something?
Generally when I replace the DPFE Sensor I also replace the egr regulator, egr and check the hoses to make sure they are not clogged. Not sure if you have gotten the code to go away yet. But I would check those components and scan for any codes. You do need a scan tool to clear the codes usually but you can try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. If you get any new codes or still have codes, post them below.
