Was riding fine when suddenly the check engine light flashed and it disabled the cruise control. As it was on the highway in early am with no open garages I got to my destination. It drove rough and is now driving smooth but the check engine light is now steady. Ideas and costs?
I’m glad to hear you made it to your destination and the check engine light became steady. A flashing check engine light means possible damage may occur if you continue to drive it. Luckily your engine’s computer was able to determine the cause of the issue and set an engine trouble code. As long as the check engine light remains steady the car is safe to drive.
You will need to have the engine codes scanned. This requires the use of a scan tool or stop by your local auto parts store and they will do it for free. Then post the codes below for review.
