I am going to assume that you are looking for an “ENGINE” vacuum leak.
I like to start the engine, pop the hood and take a listen. See if you can hear any kind of high pitch whistle of sorts. If not that is OK too. Grab a can of Brake wash or starting fluid and spray around the areas you are checking for a leak and listen for the engine tone to change. This is the effected area. Look for broken or brittle hoses or connections.
If you are looking for a general vacuum leak or an emissions evap system leak then you are going to need a smoke machine. Hook the machine up to the GREEN service port under the hood or use the optional gas tank fill neck adapter.
