When I put truck in neutral and push the 4×4 button on the dash I hear a click and it does not engage after hearing the click if I push 4 low it clicks and engages.. Why do I have 4 low and not regular 4 wheel drive
It is either the button switch or the 4×4 computer. In most cases replacing the button switch will take care of the issue. You can try manually engaging it to see if it is the 4×4 shift motor if you test battery voltage at the motor.
