Rear Differential Nissan Titan 2008

2008 Nissan Titan rear differential
2008 Nissan Titian rear differential noise. I have this loud roar noise when decelerating.  I’ve checked wheel bearing they are good . Could it be rear differential? if so what?

RESPONSE

This is a classic description of a failing rear differential pinion shaft bearings(#5 and #9 in image). You give it gas and the noise dissipates until you let off the gas.

Some sure signs to look for would be metal in the oil. Remove the fill plug on the rear end and take a sample. You may remove the entire rear end cover to inspect further. Look for shinny metal chips in the fluid. May be very fine in size.
