Car died on the freeway . Wouldn’t start. It sat there for five minutes then tried again and it worked … later it did it again … lights work fine, engine tries to turn but it won’t. I noticed that it struggles to switch gears and when I let the gas pedal go the rpms drop real fast. Found pcv valve with a hole and corrosion on contact point …what can the problem be?

First thing to do would be to determine what it isn’t getting and try to narrow down the cause.
