I am having problems with the air conditioning system, it comes on but there is no freon, already added some plus a sealer for leaks, dont know if that cause the problem. The compressor comes on but the Clutch start and then stops, when i try to turn on the AC, it makes kind of like a fart sound and leaks freon at the same time. Please help if anyone has had this issue before, i bought a compressor to install it but havent done it yet, dont know if that could be the issue itself
When the clutch clicks on and off it generally means the system is low on Freon. This is referred to as “short cycling”. The system may have such a large leak that the Freon is leaking out quickly. The system should be evacuated and vacuum put on the system and held to determine if there is a leak present. Once a leak is determined some oil with dye added can be inserted to help locate the origin of the leak.
