idles for 10 minutes then cuts out any advice please?
When it dies and will not start, look for what it is not getting. Most common would be spark. Reason is once it warms up the ignition control module starts to fail. This is the most common failure part that causes this issue. It is also common for some to just replace the entire distributor.
