I was driving when the Brake, tire pressure, traction control and power steering warning lights came on. The emergency brake is definitely not on, the power steering is working, and I’ve checked the tire pressure.
After checking the tire pressure and tires for even wear it may be necessary to calibrate the TPMS – Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Also check the brake fluid level. If the light came on while driving in slick conditions it means the system was activated and should reset after a re-start. If the light go out after a re-start it may have been just a one time thing.

TPMS Calibration Inspection
Ensure tire pressure is properly adjusted to specified tire pressure listed on doorjamb label before doing TPMS calibration.
Calibration begins when TPMS switch is pressed. Calibration is completed after driving in an ideal driving condition 31-62 mph, driving steadily without much acceleration or deceleration for about 18 minutes. Full functionality of system cannot be performed properly if calibration is not completed.
Perform TPMS calibration after doing following items: Adjusting tire pressure, rotating tires, replacing tires, updating VSA modulator control unit, or replacing VSA modulator control unit.
Calibration process gets interrupted if vehicle moves. Perform troubleshooting if indicator does not go off after two seconds, keeps blinking or stays on when ignition switch is turned ON (II).
- Stop vehicle and shift into P or N position.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Turn ignition switch to ON (II) and wait to see low pressure indicator come on for two seconds and then off.
- Do not drive vehicle and wait for 45 seconds as is.
- If calibration is completed, indicator does not come on. If calibration is not yet completed, then indicator comes on for two seconds and off.
Calibration Procedure
Vehicle must be stopped with transmission in P or N.
If indicator does not blink, inspect TPMS switch.
- Ensure tires are inflated to specified tire pressure listed on doorjamb label.
- Turn ignition switch to ON (II).
- Press TPMS switch for three seconds.
- When calibration successfully begins, indicator blinks twice.
2005-17 CR-V VSA Warning Light
VSA(Vehicle Stability Assist) warning light is used to warn of a system fault. Lamp monitors condition of anti-lock brake system. It will be lit during engine start up, but should go off when self diagnostic system determines that system is operating properly. If lamp remains lit, a fault in anti-lock brake system is indicated. Even though system is operating properly, activation indicator may come on if VSA switch has been manually turned off, vehicle goes into a spin, one drive wheel is stuck, electrical interference is present, or when VSA or ABS operates continuously for a long time.
After diagnosis and repair of system, lamp may be turned off as follows:
1.
With ignition switch in OFF position connect a suitably programmed scan tool to DLC located under lefthand side of instrument panel.
2.
Place ignition switch in ON position and follow scan tool instructions to clear DTCs.
2006-18 CR-V ABS Light
ABS warning light is used to warn of a system fault. Lamp monitors condition of anti-lock brake system. It will be lit during engine start up, but should go off when self diagnostic system determines that system is operating properly. If lamp remains lit, a fault in anti-lock brake system is indicated. Even though system is operating properly, indicator may come on if vehicle goes into a spin, one drive wheel is stuck, only drive wheels rotate, electrical interference is present, or when ABS operates continuously for a long time.
After diagnosis and repair of system, lamp may be turned off as follows:
- With ignition switch in OFF position connect a suitably programmed scan tool to DLC located under lefthand side of instrument panel.
- Place ignition switch in ON position and follow scan tool instructions to clear DTCs.
