Im needing help with resetting the ecm on my 1999 nissan maxima gxe model
So I will post what it says in the manual below. From my experience, you just disconnect the battery for a couple minutes and it is reset.
PCM Relearn from the manual:
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
| If a battery terminal is disconnected, the memory will return to the ECM value. The ECM will now start to self-control at its initial value. Engine operation can vary slightly when the terminal is disconnected. However, this is not an indication of a problem. Do not replace components because of a slight variation. |
