Advanced Auto Parts installed a battery in my
car and the gentleman sheared off the
negative battery terminal bolt. They want to fix
it by drilling out the bolt. Is this the correct
way to fix this?
The nut and bolt on the factory terminal end should be able to be removed without a drill. reference (2) below in the diagram. Once the nut is removed the bolt will slide out the other side of the battery terminal end.
