Code P0324 Knock Sensor Chevy Cruze 1.4

Chevy Cruze

When starting car, runs rough for a few seconds and sometimes throws a PO324 or PO300 code. After turning off and back on runs smooth but has a ticking noise, but runs fine and gas mileage isn’t affected. It is a 2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4 l turbo.

The P0300 code is an engine misfire code. A tune up is usually a good place to start with this code. The P0324 code is Knock Sensor related. This usually comes on when you either have a failing sensor, or a knock. The knock is usually caused from too low of Octane fuel being used. If this is the case or you just filled up before the problem occurred you might want to try a different fueling station and a higher octane as a test.
