I am wondering what could possibly be wrong with my 2004 Dodge 1500 because it won’t shift out of first gear and we are not sure what to do.
If this is a stick shift, then it may be as simple as a clutch slave cylinder needing to be replaced. If this is an automatic, make sure fluid level is full. Not much else to check other than that without a scan tool or throwing parts at it. A transmission shop or replace the transmission.
