Does the fluid in front axle need to be replaced {serviced} on my 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 PU, If so how is it done?

Lets turn to your vehicles maintenance schedule and have a look. I see the manufacturer recommends Inspection of the Front and Rear axle fluid at 40,000 miles and to change fluid if using your vehicle for police, taxi, fleet, offroad or frequent trailer towing. The same is to be done every 20,000 miles according to the schedule. Here is the How to procedure.
Front Differential Capacity
The front differential holds 1.1 (Liter) GL-5 75W-85.
Front Axle Fluid Change
- Remove the Skid Plate Bolts(2) and the Skid Plate(1)
- Remove the Lower Drain Plug and all fluid to drain – removal of upper plug may allow the fluid to drain quicker
- Once drained, replace lower drain plug
- With upper fill plug removed, fill with manufacturers recommended axle fluid – fill till the fluid just starts to come out the fill plug. Allow to drain if needed then install the upper fill plug
- Install skid plate in reverse order of removal
