Wiring Harness Trouble 2005 NIssan Xterra 4WD

2008-nissan-xterra

Hello,
I have 2005 Nissan Xterra. How I can disconnect 2 wire harness on Evap Canister? One is System Pressure Censor Harness and other is Vent Control Valve Harness. I can’t figure out how to disconnect these wire harness or unlock it. Any tip is greatly applicated. Thank you so much for your help.

The problem is that dirt/mud gets under the release tabs and make them almost impossible to compress. If I have access to compressed air, I’ll blow them out the best I can, spray them with WD40 and let them soak a couple of minutes and then blow them out, again, crossing my fingers!

  1. Thank you very much for your reply.
Could you teach me how I can release the Vent Control Valve Harness? I can’t find the release tub, but I can see half diameter open cut on the bottom of the harness. Is there any release tub?
Thank you very much for your advice!

  2. Nothing in the manual about it. Might be one of those need to see it in order to assist you. I would think that the connectors would be at the ends of the wiring harness and maybe some clips along the way securing them in place. Most are push in clips that may require some prying to get them loose.
