STABILIZER BAR LINK KIT R&R

To avoid stabilizer shaft damage due to loss of clamp load, the threads of the link bolt must protrude 2-4 threads above the link nut after the specified torque is achieved.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft nut (1) from the link bolt, Fig. 1.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt (3), Fig. 1.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft link insulators and spacers (2), Fig. 1.
- Inspect all of the components for wear and damage.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
a. Remove all traces of the original adhesive patch.
b. Apply threadlocker GM part No. 12345382, or BLUE LOCTITE® part No. 242, or equivalents on the threads of the bolts.
c. Torque the nut to 89 inch lbs. Continue to tighten the nut until 2-4 threads protrude above the nut.
