COOLANT HOSE, REPLACE
Lower Radiator Hose
- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Reposition hose clamp from radiator.
- Remove radiator outlet hose from radiator.
- Reposition hose clamp from water pump.
- Remove radiator outlet hose from water pump and from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Upper Radiator Hose
- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Reposition hose clamp from thermostat housing.
- Remove radiator inlet hose from thermostat housing.
- Reposition hose clamp from radiator.
- Remove radiator inlet hose from radiator and vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install.
COOLING SYSTEM AIR BLEED PROCEDURE
A. Close radiator draincock and install cylinder block drain plug. B. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Allow 7 minutes for trapped air to escape and for coolant to flow through radiator. C. Install cap this will prevent air from escaping. D. Place heater control to max heat position. E. Start engine and run at fast idle for approximately 2000 rpm for three to four minutes. F. With engine off check coolant fluid level and top off to filler neck seat. |
