I bought a pulley for my 05 neon and when putting it on it cracked. I bought a new serpentine belt at the same time I want to now bypass the power steering and need to know the size of belt i need.
I do not recommend bypassing the power steering. It will be unsafe to operate in my opinion. Though I am not certain of the belt size, I can tell you how to find it. Use a a string to to wrap around the route you want and take it with you to the shop.
Looking at the Serpentine Belt Routing Diagram it looks like there will not be anyway to tighten the belt as the tensioner will not be able to apply pressure. Just Sayin’.
